You will take ownership of steering central HR initiatives within FlixTrain, one of Europe's fastest-growing rail operators. Operating at the intersection of a dynamic start-up mindset and the complexity of a regulated railway environment, you will be responsible for managing multiple interconnected projects simultaneously, ensuring that HR structures, processes, and governance instruments sustainably support the company's growth. You will act as the right hand of the Head of HR and be closely involved in key decisions with direct interaction with senior management – with short decision-making paths and minimal hierarchy. About the Role Program & Project Management Steering and co-designing an HR program with multiple parallel projects Defining target states, roadmaps, milestones, and dependencies Managing prioritization, resources, and risks across initiatives Development of HR Structures & Governance Designing scalable HR setups for a dynamic growth environment Clarifying roles, responsibilities, and interfaces across teams Ensuring alignment with railway-specific regulations and collective bargaining agreements (CBAs) Strategic Analysis & Decision Support Translating data, scenarios, and business needs into actionable options Preparing decision-making materials for the Head of HR and senior management Supporting workforce planning for operational train staff in a 24/7 environment Management of Complex HR Topics Steering cross-functional HR topics across the employee lifecycle Considering legal, regulatory, and collective labor law frameworks specific to the railway sector Collaboration with HR and Business Coordinating stakeholders across HR functions and operational units Partnering with FlixTrain leadership to align HR initiatives with network expansion and growth plans Facilitating alignment be
